I'm going to be stage manager at an upcoming concert promoted by The False Front Co. The show will benefit the family of Forrest Rings, who recently passed away.
It's this coming Saturday, August 21, 2010. It is located at the Oasis Bar in Thousand Palms, CA at 32025 Monterey Ave. on the corner of Ramon Rd.

The door cover is $10. Like I said, the profits will go to the family of the deceased to help cover funeral costs.
Artists performing will include The Crooks, Urgent Care, Pigeon Toad, and more TBA.

New venue
We have a new venue in Thousand Palms, CA. We're very happy to have this place. We haven't had a show since July of last year. But we're back, and we're going to be getting some really hot bands. We've even got a band coming back for us from Europe in the Spring, so stay tuned.
On Friday, December 12 we have our first show at this venue. It's Desert Christian Community Church. We have a nice facility with a stage and we'll be fixing it up over the next few months to really kick.
The first show will feature Braveheart from Arizona, Hopeunseen from Riverside, CA and Beyond Our Strength. This will be a great show. I'm working on one more band at the moment which will blow you away, but I'll have to keep that under my hat for now because it's not confirmed.
We're going to try to keep costs down, and this one will be $8. It's cheaper than a combo meal.
